The Angel of Release

This week’s message comes to us from Angel Meditations by Sonia Cafe. The drawn card is The Angel of Release. The caption on the card says” My life is perfect here and now”. We see an Angel in a red gown who has let go of her wings and we see them flying with a small blue butterfly, a symbol of transformation.

The Angels ask us how much time and energy we have wasted on living in the past. How many times have you thought, what if I did this instead or how could I have changed the outcome? We cannot change the past, only learn from it. Living in the past can cause a whirlwind of thoughts that can set us on a path of guilt, anxiety, fear and depression. We cannot change the past but at the same time, we also cannot worry about the future.

This card reminds me of that saying credited by Alice Morse Earle, “Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That’s why we call it ‘The Present’. Sorry Kung Fu Panda fans, Master Oogway borrowed that one!  Still your mind and look for the gift in the moment for that truly is a divine gift.
